DEPARTMENT OF INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT in ocia and wsth St Cross College

Grade 10a: Salary £43,312 - £58,157 p.a.

Start date: 1 September 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Applications are invited for a University Lecturership in Global Governance. The post is permanent and full-time. The appointment wsll be made in ocia and wsth a non-tutorial fellowship at St Cross College.

The successful candidate wsll be expected to carry out high quality research and to contribute to specialist teaching on pects of Global Governance, including development of courses for the MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy. The postholder wsll also be expected to provide appropriate teaching and supervision on other Masters degrees in the department, and to engage in examination and essment, graduate supervision, and pastoral care of graduate students.

The successful candidate should have: a doctorate in International Relations or other relevant field; a proven track record of scholarly research and publications of international quality, especially in relation to Global Governance or major aspects of it, including International Political Economy; research interests in developing countries or demonstrable wsllingness to move research agenda in that direction; expertise and capacity to teach specialist courses covering major aspects of global governance and to teach graduate students of a high calibre in multidisciplinary environment; the experience and ability to contribute to the delivery of postgraduate degree programmes, including course design and student essment; a proven capacity to win external research funding; and the ability and commitment to work effectively wsth colleagues as part of an interdisciplinary team.
